Zeikos High Definition Super Fisheye Lens With Super Macro

Zeikos ZE-3252F 52/58mm 0.34X high definition Super Fisheye lens with Super Macro, includes lens pouch and cap covers

I got a Panasonic DMC-FZ35 for christmas and also recieved this fish eye lens and it is fantastic I was able to take a whole picture of my awkwardly sized living room to show my family in one shot the picture is really clear. While doing my research I have found that most cannons have lenses made specially for them. So far I am really enjoying the lens and can not wait to take some outdoor photos with it!

How Important Is It To Use A Lens Hood?

Many of us look at the photographers when taking pictures the camera is very cool because it comes with a lens hood, they look great with a lens hood. But, How Important is it to use a lens hood? Is just for style? Complementary camera?

I will try to answer it a bit, actually lens hood is used in accordance with the conditions when you take a picture, is associated with light. Lens hood to help reduce the entry of light into the lens (reducing flare), in addition lens hood can help protect the lens from impact and scratches. Use a lens hood with the right, if you use the flash / flash do not attach your lens hood.

Many professional photographers who do not use a lens hood, they know how to put objects and understanding the effects of light on the photo. If a strong light and place flares they use hands to cover the lens as a way to block light. If still confused, you can try to shoot with a lens hood and without the lens hood, see the difference in the picture.

Fotodiox Dedicated (Bayonet) Lens Hood for Canon

Fotodiox Dedicated (Bayonet) Lens Hood, for Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 USM, II, II USM, III & III USM Lenses, Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS Lens as Canon ET-60

Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact. Dedicated lens hoods are designed to match the specific focal length of the lens it was designed for.

Costumer Review Fotodiox Dedicated (Bayonet) Lens Hood for Canon
By :Kenneth R. Depree (Sosua, Dominican Republic)

I am happy to confirm all the good things said about this lens hood by the previous posters. Also, this hood is deep enough to protect the lens and shield it from stray light. I used this hood when taking 1500 photos with my Canon 55-250 lens and there was no sign that it affected the photo in any way.

I am very impressed with Fotodiox as a supplier of camera accessories. I now have hoods for two lenses and lens caps, all very well made and purchased for a fraction of what I would have had to pay for the equivalent from Canon or other suppliers.

You will need a center-pinch lens cap if you use this hood. The Fotodiox lens cap sold by Amazon would be a good choice.

Costumer Review Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Image Stabilizer Telephoto Zoom Lens
By :WILLIAM MCLEAN (Medford, OR USA)

OMG I purchased this Canon Telephoto Zoom lens on e-Bay new for $199.00 ("Buy it Now"). It arrived today. This is one light weight and incredibly sharp lens. Also, the image colors are vivid and true. With the IMAGE STABILIZER engaged I can get super sharp images at 250mm, with lens wide open, and the shutter speed at 1/30th of a second. And I'm a 71 year old man.

I'm crazy about Amazon.com. They are really reliable, their merchandise is usually competitively priced, and I like their return policy. But I do shop.

SPECIAL NOTE; Another reviewer writes that using the Canon 58mm Canon Telephoto Zoom lens tread diameter 250D Closeup Filter (under $100.00), this same zoom lens becomes a fantastically sharp macro lens. I'm going to go for it next month - after my Social Security Check comes in. And yes, I will check the price on Amazon.com first.

Product Review Rokinon FE8M-C 8mm F3.5 Fisheye Lens for Canon
By :G. Cerpa "cerpa" (Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico)

Well what can I tell you, this lens is awesome, I've testes it and let me tell you some of the results I noticed:

- The amount of flare (even pointing the lens towards the sun) is minimal, it really surprised me in a very positive way.
- It doesn't darkens the corners or produce vignetting effect AT ALL!
- The quality in the final pictures is superb, the pictures are crisp sharp even in the edges!
- Unlinke the peleng lens, the rokinon does fill the entire frame of the picture with no empty corners.
- It does not have the annoying lock ring of the peleng.
- When you handle the lens it feels great, the build quality is great and the rubber grip in the focus ring is awesome, its heaviness makes it feel like a solid rock and well built pice of glass; and, unlike the peleng, it does look modern!
- The colors look nice and saturated in the final pictures.

I loved this one, and I can truely say that this lens will exceed your expectations, the best bang for the buck!

Note for the buyers: this lens is also sold under other brands such as: opteka, samyang, falcon; but it's the same glass

Discussing Nikkor 10.5 Fisheye Lens

Nikkor 10.5 fisheye lens became a favorite with many photographers because it produces dramatic images with different perspectives, the result of sharp images, colors and remarkable contrast. Body light and very compact, weighing 10.7 ounces, length 2.5 ", the advantage of this lens you can easily take it everywhere.

But before you decide to buy a Nikkor 10.5 fisheye lens is that you need to know is the Nikkor 10.5 fisheye lens does not have an inbuilt focus motor, so if you do not have a camera body features a built-in focus motor then you have to use manual focus .

The Nikkor 10.5 fisheye is excellent for taking photos in low light conditions because it is fast f/2.8 maximum aperture. If you have a steady hand, you easily can take handheld pictures at 1/10th of a second. Amazing lens for the photographer who really like shooting in low light conditions without using a tripod.

Lens Hood Function

At first I did not understand the lens hood function, I think just for the variation in front of the lens. After I was looking for from several sources I finally understand usability lens hood.

Briefly lens hood is a tool used at the end of the lens to block the sun or other light sources to prevent glare and lens flare. Another function is
1. Google glare blocking.
2. Protect the glass lens or filter.
3. Make your camera look cool.

Geometry of the lens hood can vary from a cylindrical or conical part plain (such as light colors) to more complex cut sometimes called a tulip, flower petals or hood (as seen in some photos), which results in a reasonable good shade without blocking the field of view lens and thereby produce vignetting. True petal shaped lens hood shade to produce more than normal lens hood with the same final diameter. Square lens hood might be better.

Lens hoods are more prominent in the focus of a long lens because field of view at an angle of view smaller than a wide-angle lens. For wide angle lens, the length of the hood (away from the tip of the lens) can not all like to telephoto lenses due to the point of view.

Lens hoods are often designed to fit on the lens that fits both facing forward, for normal use, or backward, so that may be stored with the lens hood without occupying a lot of extra space. Some flexible lens hood and collapse for storage.

In addition, they offer some physical protection for the lens because the hood extend further than the lens itself.

Canon EW78BII Lens Hood

Canon EW78BII Lens Hood for EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Canon SLR Lens

Product Description
Lens Hoods offer several benefits to the photographer. Primarily the hood shades the lens from stray light that may result in an unwanted discoloration or hazing of the image, or the appearance of lens flare. Shading your lens helps improve contrast and image quality. A lens hood is not required to eliminate these problems, as any item used to shade the lens will provide the same protection from stray light. The hood is convenient in that it is built to offer protection while ensuring that it will not inadvertently find its way into your image. Photographers often state the protective abilities of a hood as a reason to have one.

Product Review
By: J. Sankovitch (Lexington, KY)

I just recently got this lens hood and took it out to a park to try it out. I thought my EF 28-135 took good shots before... I was pleasantly surprised at the results of using this relatively cheap add-on. In a bright environment lens flare can be present in a subtle way, taking out some shadow depth and "bleaching" out a shot. This hood helps prevent that and really had an impact on my shots.

The hood itself is well built, made of high end plastics and the inside has a soft fabric coating to absorb light and protect your lens. It locks onto the front of the lens quickly and is easily removed when not wanted. You can also use this hood in conjunction with a lens filter, so you don't have to compromise between the two.

Again, you can't beat the bang for buck value here.

Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon SLR
By : Sergiy Beketov "apollinaris"

I have Canon's 75-300mm telephoto zoom lens for almost a year and have examined it inside out. Unfortunately, I cannot admit that it's a good lens.

First of all, it doesn't have USM (Ultra Sonic Motor) and though having built-in AF motor, it is anyway VERY slow. And since telephoto lenses in general are for capturing high-speed events (like sport, running animals etc), its low-speed focusing makes it no good.

Secondly, its light-factor is quite low (4.0 for 75mm and only 5.6 for 300mm) what forces you to use either high-speed film (not lower than ISO400) or to shoot in the bright light (what's not possible everytime you shoot).

And the last, but not less important thing. I'm not good in mechanics, but what I know for sure is that Canon's 75-300mm lens produce unsharp pictures. No matter if you use a tripod or not, the pictures still are very unsharp which is very bad for images, being zoomed by 300mm.

Anyway, I'd recommend you to buy the lens of the same focal distance but in another configuration: Canon EF 75-300 F/4.5-5.6 IS USM. Although it's a bit expensive and as you see, the light factor is a bit lower, too, it has an USM and IS (Image Stabilizer) what makes focusing drastically super fast and the pictures become more sharper with the help of IS. This lens deserves a high attention. But not this one...

About Telephoto Lens

Many people buy an expensive telephoto lens, normally used for photographing a subject that is far away, or to memperbersar subject. Before buying a telephoto lens you have to understand what it Telephoto Lens.

Does it actually Telephoto Lens? Lens is a telephoto lens has a focal range of 60mm or more, if it is wider than the 60mm lens that includes a standard lens or wide lens.

There are two types of telephoto lenses, one is a telephoto zoom lens that can not (fix lens), such as Canon EF 85mm f/1.8. The second is a zoom lens, like the Canon 70-200mm f / 4 L. Zoom lens that can be more multi-functional, but the fix lens usually has a wider maximum aperture, small size and more broadly. There is also a lens that has a focal range from wide to telephoto. For example 18-200mm lens.

Product review:
By: Justin Ryan "FreshOats" (San Diego, CA USA)

I shivered when I saw the prices of fisheye lenses for my Canon XSi until I came across a few of these kind of lenses which instead of integrating into the camera itself, they screw onto the end of the existing lens. This affordable fisheye lens takes fantastic wide-angle photos, however there is a pretty extreme barreling effect which I expected after using a 35mm Fisheye by Lomo. I am amazed at the clarity of the photos I have obtained. I was expecting more distortion, chromatic aberration, etc. but this does not seem to be the case with this fisheye lens.

Does this compare to a $600 180 degree fisheye lens? Probably not. But for someone who isn't using such a lens professionally, this is the perfect starter to get you a taste of what the wide angle can produce.

My ONLY complaint is that the lens cap that came with does not fit with the adapter ring, and so the ring must be removed each time I put the fisheye lens away in it's little bag. Nothing serious.

Final thoughts: It's fun, it's cheap, and it produces high quality photos! What more can you ask for?

Fisheye Lens To Make Distortion

Fisheye lens has a nature so that it can capture wide views of 180 degrees, resulting fototo is a circle. There is a kind of fisheye lens is not too wide (15-16mm) gives a square-shaped photos as usual.

What I liked about the fisheye lens is to create images with exceptional extreme distortion, if you are using to take pictures of people then it will be weird and funny. But if used correctly by the photographers, the fisheye lens can produce images of artistic, unique, and different.
